Creating visual depth in a project can really catapult an animation from boring to captivating. After Effects does 3D very well, but there’s more to it than simply moving layers or objects around in 3D space. There are finer and sometimes-overlooked details, such as focus, lights, and shadows that give a project true depth. In this issue, we’re creating a main title, and the goal is to use simple graphic elements while creating an intriguing look with true depth of focus.
