Horizontal drop down menus are all the range in website design. There are nearly as many different ways to make them as there are websites that use them.

Horizontal drop down menus can be made with JavaScript and DHTML or in pure CSS and HTML/xHTML. Enterprising programmers have dozens of Java applets to do the job. Horizontal menus can also be done in Flash, as demonstrated by Oleg Lazarenko in this Flash how-to.
