


In vector drawing, gradients are a constant. But, as Mike’s SketchPad observes,
gradients do not follow irregular shapes. Linear and radial gradients are wonderful, but when you need to create a
non-straight surface—a shiny winding computer power cord, for example—you need to use blends instead of
gradients.
